about Jim Peterson

I have been shearing sheep for 40 plus years and raised sheep for10 years with a flock of 270 ewes. I also designed and built all of my handling equipment. I will discuss sheep psychology ,pens gates and fences, and show the most effective ways of catching and throwing sheep . Being able to handle sheep without stressing them out is essential for the health of your flock whether you have 5 or 500. I do shearing demonstrations for Shepherds Harvest and talk about how to handle sheep.
